  • Upstate Films 6415 Montgomery Street Rhinebeck, NY, 12572 United States (map)

Free Indoor Film Screening

Hosted by Upstate Films, Beyond Plastics, Riverkeeper, Third Act Upstate NY, Bard Graduate Programs in Sustainability, and Sustainable Hudson Valley

This ground-breaking doc investigates our addiction to plastic and the growing threat of microplastics on human health. These microscopic particles drift in the air, float in all bodies of water, and mix into the soil, becoming a permanent part of the environment and our bodies. Acclaimed journalist Ziya Tong takes a personal approach by visiting leading scientists around the world and undergoing experiments in her home, on her food, and her body. The goal is to rethink our relationship with plastic.

A post-screening discussion, moderated by environmental filmmaker John Bowermaster, will include Megan Wolff of Beyond Plastics and Shannon Roback of Riverkeeper.
