Hosted by the New York Association of Conservation Commissions & NYS Tug Hill Commission

The New York State Tug Hill Commission is hosting this year's conference, which will focus on renewable energy, natural resources economy, the environment, and recreation and tourism.

This conference is a fantastic opportunity for professionals and students to connect with each other, learn from experts in the field, and discover innovative solutions and opportunities to address environmental challenges.

Wednesday, 9/18

8:30 AM - 3:15 PM: Day of Virtual Presentations

5:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Social hour at Woodland Farm Brewery, 106 Main St, Boonville, NY 13309

A virtual conference open to professionals, students, and environmental enthusiasts followed by an in-person social hour at Woodland Farm Brewery in Boonville.

Thursday, 9/19

8:30 AM - 3:30 PM: Various Field Trips Options, Select Morning and Afternoon (lunch is provided)

A day filled with field trips around the eastern side of the Tug Hill region, followed by a conference reception at the Hayloft at Moonshine Farm in Port Leyden.

5:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Conference Reception & Tug Hill Commission Annual Dinner, at The Hayloft at Moonshine Farm, 6615 Buneo Rd, Port Leyden, NY 13433

This combined event will include a buffet style dinner, awards, opportunities to meet new people, and listen to guest speaker, Katie Petronis, the Deputy Commissioner of Natural Resources for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation! 

Friday, 9/20

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Field Trip: Trenton Falls and Tour of Brookfield Renewable's Hydroelectric Facility

A beautiful field trip to Trenton Falls, only open a couple weekends a year and being open just for our conference!

Our conference theme is using a grassroots approach to engage, support, and assist community actions that balance conservation and rural development.

Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your journey, this conference has something for everyone.
