SOON IS NOW is an annual immersive day of climate change and eco-themed performance, art and activism set in Scenic Hudson's Long Dock Park in Beacon, NY. Performers and artists this year include: Raven Chacon, Alex Waterman, Bob Bellerue, Edwin Torres, Koyoltzintli, Twinkle Burke, Jojo Gonzalez, Jaanika Peerna, Camille Seaman, Jean Brennan, Steve Rossi, Andrew Brehm, Tom King, Jim Fletcher, Elise Knudson and Elisa Santiago. Resistance Revival Chorus will close out the day with a live concert and perform a new song about climate change written by Abena Koomson Davis.
Come to the park at 12pm to see a visual arts exhibition in the River Center at the park, meet climate activists and sign up for a tour. We give (3) 45 minute tours of all of the performances at 12:30pm, 1pm and 1:30pm. You can arrive anytime before a tour to get on!
Then stick around and experience THE RESISTANCE REVIVAL CHORUS up from NYC to sing a closing concert at 3pm. Overflow parking is free at the Metro North Beacon Train Station (all spots are free on the weekends), a short walk to the park.
