Mid-Hudson Teacher Center: Climate Education and Sustainability Cohort 2022-2023

In the coming years, public school educators will play a key role in helping students and communities understand and implement solutions to the urgent and unprecedented problem of climate change. Join NY Master Teacher Emeritus and Climate educator Samrat Pathania as he introduces k-12 educators to the MHTC Climate Education and Sustainability Cohort for the 2022-23 school year. Participants will develop curricular and extracurricular climate solutions activities for their students while working collaboratively with guidance from MHTC facilitators. They will also hear from speakers who can assist with the ideas that they are developing. Participants will create materials that will be used to support and encourage climate solutions and sustainability work with students. We welcome educators to attend our first session to learn more about this opportunity and meet other prospective climate cohort members. This program is being presented as part of Sustainable Hudson Valley's Climate Solutions Week 2022, and is part of an ongoing collaboration with the DCBOCES Center for Sustainability and Climate Education.
